Enough is Enough

I saw this on Pinterest a few seconds ago.

I know I'm skinny and pretty much eat whatever I want, but does that make me a bitch?  I've been called various things for my skinniness similar to this since, well, I can't remember when.  Truth be told, I don't eat like a pig.  I actually eat decently most of the time, so when I pig out, it balances out.  AND NO, I'm not a diet freak.  I've always been this way.  I was born this way.  (If you hear GaGa in your head, I'm sorry.)

This is plain bullshit.  I've never gone up to someone, intentionally and said a something along the lines of "you fatty, yeah you, you're a dumb ass."  I'm not that way.  I know I'm not alone in this.  The difference is I have a good self esteem.  What about the young girls out there that don't?  They may not be able to handle the pressure people put on them, or even begin to identify with these negative stereotypes.  Become the bitch?  The dieter?  The food fanatic?  The perfect person? Worse still, is the moment they do put on some pounds, they have to conform to everyone's images of them?

Listen people, putting someone down is wrong, no matter how you do it.  So cut your crap and be kind.  The world would be a better place.

April Birchbox 24 Hour Later

Before I begin, for those of you who don't know what Birchbox is, read the following description.  If you know what Birchbox is, skip ahead.

Birchbox is a monthly delivery service that sends you high end samples of beauty and
lifestyle products.  Subscribers are encouraged to sample and review products, but don't
have to.  If you like what you receive, you can order the products in full size.
             See www.birchbox.com for more.

There are so many who post unboxings when they first get their Birchbox products.  I decided that I'm going to wait 24 hours after I start sampling to give my review.  Here we go:

And because I know you might not have time, you have either the option to watch the video or read the descriptions below.

NUMBER 1
Antelier Cologne: Orange Sanguine.
It is a definite citrus scent at first, but then it mellows out and you're left with a smooth cologne scent.  I do like this, but not enough to go out and buy a bottle tomorrow.  I wore it all day and I didn't get a headache, so that's a plus. I could see this being a nice scent for when you go to yoga class.  It's both refreshing and relaxing.

NUMBER 2
BeeKind Body Lotion
Oh my goodness, I love how this smells!  It's lemony and delicious.  It absorbs well and after a long day at work, my skin still feels moisturized.  I would include a lovely picture of my legs, but they are very bright white from a long winter and I just might blind you for life.  The bonus of this product is that a portion of the product's proceeds go to honey bee and sustainable pollination research.

Now for NUMBER 3
YAY! I got nail polish!!!!!!!  I love doing my nails so when I saw this cutie-patootie nail polish bottle in my box, I was very happy.
Color Club: Gala's Gem's Collection in Gold Struck
At work I received several compliments on my pretty little nails.  The camera doesn't do it justice.  So shining and shimmery.  BUT, I'm not nice to my nails every day at work and a few chipped.  I will touch them up later.  Other than the polish chipping, I did like this color.  I'm going to give it a second shot and see if with more care to my hands, it will have more staying power. On a bonus side note - I tweeted out my new nails and Birchbox tweeted back. So nice of them.

NUMBER 4
Sumita Color Intense Pencil in Suman(Black)
I'm normally gel liner girl.  Think Bobbi Brown's gel liner.  That's some good stuff, so it's hard to beat. But I gave this liner pencil a whirl.  It does go on VERY smoothly without pulling on the lids. AWESOME that I liked.  What was hard for me is I'm used to the precision of the gel liner.  However the ease of this appeals to me.  I may be purchasing this for use on the go.

NUMBER 5
KIND Snacks - Maple Pumpkin Seeds with Sea Salt  Didn't eat it yet, so the jury is out on this one.  However, as a KIND fan, I'm sure I'll like this.  It's gluten free too!
UPDATE!  I got snack today at work and gobbled this up.  It was yummy!  KIND never disappoints.

Kisses,
Skinni Rage
